A complete, measurable 3D record of your site or building
Coast to Coast Surveying (SW) Ltd produces detailed 3D point cloud and drone surveys across Newquay and Cornwall, capturing millions of precise data points to create an accurate digital version of the real world. These surveys are suitable for a wide range of projects, providing a powerful way to record sites, buildings and structures in full, ready for design, measurement and modelling.

What is a 3D point cloud?
A point cloud is a dense set of individual 3D measurements, often millions of points, that together form a precise digital model of a site, building or landscape. Each point has an exact position in space, so the finished point cloud can be measured, sliced and modelled to produce accurate plans, sections and 3D models.

What you can do with a 3D point cloud
-
Generate accurate 2D drawings — plans, elevations and sections.
-
Create 3D and BIM models of existing buildings and sites.
-
Measure distances, areas, volumes and levels with confidence.
-
Monitor change and construction progress over time.
-
Share a rich, detailed digital record with your whole project team.
How we capture point cloud data
We record detailed 3D data across your site using advanced survey technology, which includes our Civil Aviation Authority-licensed drone capability and survey-grade laser scanner instruments. Our experienced CAD technicians then process and register that data into a clean, accurate point cloud, ready for your design team to work with.
When a point cloud survey helps
Point clouds are ideal for complex or highly detailed buildings, heritage structures, listed buildings, large sites, renovation and retrofit projects, and anywhere clash detection or precise as-built information matters. They capture everything in view, so nothing is missed.
